Off The Cuff: Day two of the move is coming to a close, and I have a few moments to pull something together. It was a beautiful day at the beach with a mild breeze, upper 70’s, and a clear blue sky.
THE MOVE HAD ME…
In the car, I tried to check out a few talk radio shows, news related, including All Things Considered and other NPR stuff. It seems to take less than 10 seconds to figure out the right or left lean, and extent of that lean.
In trying to be respectful of bias, I found both far leaning types too funny or hateful to listen to for more than 30 or 40 seconds. If I pretend NPR is more moderate, left, but moderate, I can get into the second minute before I hear something that makes me ask how ignorant can a correspondent be? Then I think, maybe it’s me, and then I think, no, that was so stupid and so left that only second year liberal arts college students could listen to it.
Then, the election B/S about how long this is taking is the thing that puts me over the top, as if time has stopped, we’re all stuck in purgatory, and one day the whole world is going to explode because President Trump did, or didn’t say anything. Give it a rest people, we’ll be moving on soon enough, and actually, exactly on time.
So much more to discuss, and we will, but now I have to go give our extremely old dog his nightly medications, and some affection…
